Nick Kyme

In the ancient days of the Old World, long before the time of men, the dwarfs and elves were at the height of their prosperity. As King Bagrik of the dwarfs and Prince Ithalred of the elves forge a trade pact, the two races also become embroiled in a war against a common foe. The Serpent Host, a vast horde of northmen led by the warlord Ulfjarl, threatens to destroy the elven colony.

Reluctant to fight at first, King Bagrik only throws his lot in with the elves when his son is slain by the northmen, and the dwarfs become eager for vengeance and to vanquish the Serpent Host for good. However, it seems there is more to the death of the king’s son than first appears and the dwarfs have been tricked into battle…
