After the dust has settled…

Thanks all for a great Games Day. I had to take a day off yesterday because I was so knackered after all of the signing!

This was easily the biggest Games Day for me so far. Huge thanks for all the kind words. I can’t shout out to some without missing others, but you know who you are. :)

For anyone who missed out on the event and still wants to get their books signed, I am in London this weekend at the Plaza and Uxbridge Games Workshop stores where I’ll be being plied with tea and Hobnobs for signing copies of Nocturneand my back-list novels. If you’re about or live in the area please come along and say ‘hi!’.

In other news, the Ferrus Manus novella ‘Feat of Iron’ is coming along well. I’m about two thirds of the way through now and picking up some pace as I close on the home straight.

The next full novel for me is The Great Betrayal, the first volume in the War of Vengeance series for Time of Legends. This’ll be a double header with my good buddy Chris Wraight.

Went for my first run in two weeks yesterday. The Robin Hood half marathon crocked me a bit but even though I still feel a bit tender today, I am back in the saddle and looking forward to getting stuck into some serious training again.

Okies, it’s coffee time and my working day is about to begin, so see ya later taters!

Unrelated but, have you heard of a band called Dragonforce? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0jgrCKhxE1s

Above is their hit song, and it really struck a chord with me and your books (pun intended.

Elysius is, in battle, a fire filled beacon of courage and ferocity yes? He also has something of a symbolic weapon of office in his crozius, yes?

What if there were some sort of microphone in said weapon? What if Dak’ir and Tsu’gan accompanied him, shredding guitar solos on instruments made from Draugen and a chainsword respectively?

What if Ba’ken had a heavy flamer bass? and Elysius force-keytar, and Argos behind a thunder-drum set?

    Yes. Very yes.

Through the fire and the flames, they would most definitely carry on.

Really enjoying Nocturne, thanks again for signing the book for me and for my friend in Holland. Really looking forward to both the Ferrus novella and the Dwarf books too, you give them a nice sense of solemn dignity which I like.
