It’s the future!
Quickie: went over to my friends’ house, Will and Beth, last night. Between cooking up some lovely beef chilli and talking crazy nonsense, Willard and I went over to the local public house and picked up osme take out beer!
What? I’m sure you cry. ake out? Beer? Yes!
Two pints of draught in a carton. Check it out…

I am yet to be convinced of the drinkological merits of this advance. Fine ales are meant to be supped from a stein or mug, assuming a horn cannot be obtained.

Seems like a perfectly cromulent idea to me. Which was the public house in question?

‘Drinkological’ may be the best word. Ever. Today.

Wow. I don’t know. Good beer, yes, should not be in a carton. This of course begs the question… was the beer good, or was the flavor of convenience good?
I am flummoxed. Beer… in a carton… as take out?

…. not to mention, for a large sized Mick like myself two pints is good for the walk home so I’d have to get three cartons minimum.

I agree, Dan – it was the Victoria Hotel in Beeston, a very fine drinking establishment indeed.

Ahhh the Victoria – it’s been too long! A fine pub particularly during the winter when they get the big heaters out the back. I used to live opposite it. Good times!
