Well, this just looks awesome…
Clash of the Titans trailer, anyone…
This was one of my favourite films as a kid growing up. Something about all the monsters, gods and legends – it really left an impression. This latest Hollywood version of Clash of the Titans looks amazing with shades of 300 about it. Beasts and creatures aplenty it seems, and who couldn’t love Liam Neeson uttering those immortal (get it – ha!) words, ‘Unleash the kracken!’.
Here’s hoping that the film fulfils and even exceeds this early promise. They might not have the charm of some of Ray Harryhausen’s creations, but the CG monsters sure do look cool…

I admit… I was all geared up to hate this, ‘cos it was one of my utter favourite films growing up, too. But the trailer just looks far, far too awesome.

If the film is as good as the trailers make it look then I’ll be exiting the cinema one happy happy camper.
If not….then I’ll be pissed.

Really looking forward to this – as this was this film that made me into the CSG that I am today. It kick started my love of all things SciFi, comics, and fantasy. Oh – and Mr. Kyme – I know I’m behind here but I’ve just finished Salamander, great work! I would love to see it get the comic book adaption as a graphic novel.

I remember watching the original in awe as a kid. Not sure if this one will do the same for another generation, but if it can rekindle some of the same awe and nostalgia we felt as kids, it would be awesome… Fingers crossed!

Ha, not that we felt nostalgia AS kids… but you know what I mean… Geez, glad I don’t have to, like, use words and stuff and like WRITE for a living, huh. Oh, hang on…

Ray Harryhausen was THE man when it comes to special effects, and I loved all the monster movies he was a part of back in the days before CGI.
I doubt this will beat the original Clash of the Titans, but it is looking like it may well be a modern classic.
I am pretty excited to see it, to be honest.
Roll on release date. With Soloman Kane out soon I am very much getting into the Fantasy Epic mood. Clash should prepare me nicely for God of War 3.
Oh, and if Nick doesn’t mind, I have a shameless plug to throw up here: I have my own blog now, with some of my own writing on it. A little thin on content at the moment, but that should change in time. Comments are always welcome!

Sorry, Nick. I wont do that again, I promise!

Like everyone else here, I’m very excited by the trailer. The original ‘Clash…’ was a childhood favourite of mine – partly because of my interest in Greek mythology and partly because I was going through an Ursula Andress thing at the time. (Ahem.)
I’ll definitely be watching this version, though.
