Firedrake continues at pace

I’ll keep this relatively brief as, by way of a guilty pleasure, I’m going to watch Glee on E4 in about five minutes (yes, yes, I know, but it is just so wrong and damn hilarious).

Firedrake has now breached the 21,000 word mark and I’m hitting all of my mini-milestone deadlines in my new and improved ‘plan’. It’s a great relief to get some serious wordage under my belt, and as a result the novel is really starting to take some shape. Huzzah!

No sign of Tsu’gan yet, but he’ll be coming soon, just you wait and see. I’m actually really looking forward to writing his first scene – it’s the one straight off the front cover (a scene, incidentally, that I hadn’t planned on putting in the book until I’d seen said artwork – funny how that can happen).

Okies, that’s it for now peeps.

i know audiobooks were not created to be read but would it be possible for you to write down the names of the spacewolves and their mounts for us. the scandinavian names are hard to understand especially when English is not your first language
tyvm and keep up the good work.

    Hi Nick

Really pleased to hear it’s going well. I was given Salamander as a gift last year and Hero’s of the Space Marines at Christmas as another.

I play Salamanders, so am happy to have some nice fluff to enjoy. I really can’t wait for Firedrake to come out. I have modeled my librarian on Dak’ir and re-modeled one of my Terminators to the description of Tsu’gan.

Most impressed by Elysius, I hope GW will choose to re-use the Xavier model and allow rules for Elysius.

I know I’m sad, but it’s a nice thing to have the chapter you have played for a while put into print.
